Where in the U.S. (or in the world even) is there still a demand for software engineers? Let's say entry to mid level. I have been a developer before (for a year and a half), but have been out the industry for a while and am willing to move to get my foot back in the door. I would just like to know where I just focus my energy (I'm in the bay area at the moment).
Are you willing to move to cities that aren't hospitable for long-term settling down / living, or do you HAVE to live in a big city like NYC / the bay area?
I am. Those are exactly the sort of places I'm interested in knowing about.
Did you have any recommendations?
If you are getting no luck, try a QA role and then once in the company befriend the devs, get under their skin and transfer over after a year or so. This is quite possible, seen it several times.
Thank you.
How long have you been a developer for previously?
For a year and a half (edited post)
Do you have a formal cs/eng education?
