I posted about getting multiple emails from different google recruiters here https://www.teamblind.com/post/Whats-going-on-with-Google-Hiring-UNhohyCJ. The same thing is now happening with Amazon which I just left end of year for FB and Linkedin which I turned down earlier this year as their offer was not very good. I've been really nice to the recruiters and have been responding since I didnt want to leave any potential future opportunities but today I received 3 more emails and phone calls (2 from amazon and 1 from google) to my personal email that I do not give out to people that often and its starting to really get on my nerves as I have been telling them I am already talking to another recruiter from there company. Do these tech recruiters not share information internally so they know whos already talking to who? In the past month I've been contacted by the following unique recruiters directly by personal email or phone. Google: 4 Amazon 3 Linked:2 The trend i've noticed is if you passed an interview loop recently you'd get contacted by a recruiter. Anyone have any advice how I can deal with this without burning any future opportunities with these companies? I've already told every single one im not looking for any opportunities right now and I'm already talking to another recruiter from their company anyways. Do these tech recruiters literally get paid just to reach out and talk to people? Are there too many recruiters nowadays? I hate talking to people politely but really dont want to burn any potential future opportunities. TC 405k
Weird flex, but okay. You deal with it the same way you deal with life- either politely decline the opportunity or don’t respond and they get the hint. Tech recruiters are used to casting a wide net with the hope that they get some responses.
Google recruiters also doing that shit now? They must come from Amazon pip.
Google does that too?
Amazon Managers work at Google Cloud. Google was destined to be in a shitshow. I predicted this two years ago.
Not surprised about this. I had some ackward team matches with GCP groups before as they kept dodging my questions about WLB in regards to work hours.
It's pretty easy to find a direct email address, though they probably have it from a previous application/resume you sent over. Google is usually better about multiple outreaches though. Usually they are spaced out.
We are living different lives my guy. Would love to get even one Google or LinkedIn recruiter hitting me up :/. But Amazon has always spammed everyone, nothing new there
You just need to get into a FAANG or other well known company and perform well career wise. The market must be insane right now if someone like me with less then 5 years of experience is getting this many calls.
