How is the culture @ Bloomberg? Is it more corporaty or does it operate like a start-up with smaller teams? Also is it hoteling or do you get your own dedicated desk?
Thanks for all the inputs. Are any of you familiar with the Product Delivery organization and what they do?
Project management doesn’t happen on a per team or even per mini org basis here. It happens on department level (think one level smaller than your whole infrastructure department for example) From what I’ve seen the folks there get attached to a department and do project management at that level (coordinate between different stakeholders)
It has smaller teams but retains the corporate culture. Despite what they say about it being flat, that only applies to ICs, where all ICs are flat across the board irregardless of YOE once you hit 3y. You have layers and layers of middle management involved in the entire process. On average your team size would be 5-8. You get your own dedicated desk
+1
This is very accurate. WLB is also great and of course unmatched job security. We just started doing pip on low performers because attrition is too high. But don't let that worry you. Pip is rare and those on it, deserve it.
