Hi, Does anyone have any good books, documentary’s, or other resources for learning more about the Enron “crisis”? I prefer audio books on audible
The Smartest guys in the room, documentary about Enron.
Thank ya
Yes! Extremely good!
Just watched Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room last night. Was very thorough. Little dry at times but I liked seeing the clips of the executives being so cocky and hearing the traders talk on recorded lines. No audio book can mimic that.
Best book (by far) - Conspiracy of Fools: A True Story https://www.amazon.com/dp/0767911792/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_QPS0YGSKGSHPRJ8WER0P
Smartest Guys In the Room is the authority on the Enron situation from an outsiders perspective. Sherron Watkins also wrote a book on her experience as a whistle blower called Power Failure. Andy Fastow has also written a book, and believe it or not is now a speaker touring the country lecturing about his lessons learned and ethics.

There are some good documataries but not a lot of books. Unless you read the accounting law books to understand where the codes came from
Gotcha. I found this YouTube video on it . Pretty nasty.. https://youtu.be/e5qC1YGRMKI
I could see myself potentially getting involved in this kinda conundrum with my skills… and uh— just scary to think about so I’d like to learn more.
