Really belated, but if it comes up for anyone else, I'm in the middle of this program (probably 60% of the way through). If anyone's curious, I'm making $150k+ TC at a startup in a hybrid data analyst / operations role. TL;DR: it's an expensive cash cow program, but FOR ME it turned out to be worth it. YMMV. * I have 4 years experience as a data analyst. Mostly SQL and Excel, I went to the program to level up some skillsets (in particular Python). * Work paid for a bit less than half of it via tuition reimbursement (about $5k out of $11k total). I actually am anticipating a higher TC offer, so I may lose the reimbursement. But I utilized some of the skills I learned in the class to get the interview in a take-home project (python/Pandas). I'm not the best at being disciplined about self-teaching, so for me it was worth having more structured projects. But if you're disciplined about self teaching you can do it without dropping the cash. For most of my classmates, many of whom are relatively fresh out of college and who don't have the benefit of existing work experience or an existing six figure income... I think the odds are dicier. * Gives you the tools to be a data analyst, and some really, really early foundational tools if you want to be a data scientist. I would not dream of someone actually converting to data scientist off this program unless they already had great credentials. * A lot of focus on TOOLS rather than analytical method or statistical rigor. You need to have problem solving skillsets coming in, and should supplement some stats training if you don't have it. * There's some stuff that's designed more for showcasing your work on GitHub than actual work as a data analyst. I've worked as a data analyst for years, I've never had to use HTML / CSS / JavaScript / d3.JS. This stuff will be really useful for putzing around with side projects on my own, and not super useful as someone embedded in an established data org with enterprise databases and visualization tools. * The admissions bar is pretty low. Some of the folks are smart with work experience and are looking to level up or pivot. Some of the folks have no relevant experience but are smart. Some work really hard but just don't get it. And some are lazy shits who're there because parents are paying for it. I don't see myself deriving much benefit from the network, but you never know. * The instructors are generally pretty good, but keep in mind if they were top of their field they'd probably have jobs in industry.

Hey DTbbq, any update of your work status after the boot camp?
