What would you do if you were not promoted when you should have been? I'm making enough money but my career is going nowhere. Promotion is unlikely in my current job. I've lost motivation to do any work. TC: $625k
@OP -> βwipes tears with cash money π΅ β¦β
Well, You are getting 600k . Many companies may not pay that even at L6 roles. Why do you want promotion? You want more responsibilities and stress ? Learning beyond some point, mostly gonna be about collaborating between teams than technical. Coast, read internal docs, and be interview ready. You will get promoted when company feels you know a lot about internal systems and unlikely to switch jobs
βI have 2 yachts but that guy has 3 yachts!! How do I get more yachts?β
625 is awesome, Could you share the breakdown ?
No breakdown @ Netflix. All cash.
Equity and Bonus will be in addition to this ?
"when you should have been" . Lol. You thinking you should be doesn't mean you were actually ready and worth it
Man you make as much as i do but mine is illiquid π
Super ahole gujju interviewers @ Netflix
What level and yoe op?
L5, 15 YOE I was L6 at another FANG and got screwed up when Netflix introduced levels. I'm going to have to bounce out of Netflix.
Is my job secure? If yes, don't move unless you find another role which is higher paying, higher title and more important of all safe/safer than your current role. If your current role isn't secure, just look around and see how interviews go. I don't know many companies that can give you higher than 600k that have open roles in this market outside of IB and niche ML / Principal roles
