I have an interview coming up next week! Can someone share what the culture like?
Come to #NerdWallet
Heard this ship is sinking slowly from grapevines
Ha, nogifts is so right. Tons of nerdwallet people interviewing at CK now...
The company seems like it's doing well. If the offer is competitive, go for it
Pro tip: DO NOT TAKE ADVICE FROM A USER NAMED “KLAN”
@OP you seriously need to read the Glassdoor reviews, especially if you’re a woman. This reads like a stereotypical tech bro workplace: “It's also well known the company has paid beaucoup bucks to cover up allegations of sexual harassment by a c-suiter (avoiding identifying which so as not to violate glassdoor). If this company was higher profile they'd be #metoo'd sooooooo fast.”
As woman working there currently this is just not my experience at all. If anything it’s the opposite. There are more women in senior positions here than all the places I’ve worked previously.
There an organization chart anywhere to confirm this?
The company has lost its soul.
Agreed
Agreed. Also which team have 70 ppl
Worst mistake of my career (I'm a woman). Unless you love being ignored, put down, endlessly held to a completely different standard than the rest of your team, and, uh, oh yeah, leg - petted by your creepy, egotistical boss, DON'T do it.
Wow, I'm so sorry to hear that. I agree, the company has really lost its soul.
Wow.... I’m really shocked but I think I have my answer now..
Hey all. Considering accepting an offer and very confused reading all this. The offer is with platform security engineering group. I enjoyed meeting the team and like what they are doing. Have another offer at a similar sized company but didn't feel so technical. Any insights on the culture in this group.
I think you shouldn’t worry so much about the comments, and go with your intuition. What are you looking for? Just like any workplace, there are upsides and downsides in working with CK. I am actually surprised when I hear complaints about culture. I think most people here are reasonable.
Platform eng is great. Culture wise infr, sec, and ps/Dev services are also great. They each have their problems but are not deal breakers The largest Dev org is product engineering and it is extremely polarized hit or miss.
Female employee at CK here. My 2 cents - Don’t cancel your onsite until you’ve at least met your team. The comments here on Blind are really rough for me to read because they’re totally different from my experience at the company. Just remember this is an anonymous forum, so some people are former employees who were pushed out for performance reasons and haven’t moved on. They’re angry, and they vent here. Hell, even find a random CK employee on LinkedIn and ask about the culture...I’ve been at Ck over 2 years and happy. And I’m not looking to leave and haven’t been harassed by anyone.
I agree with this-- from team to team things differ. But some veri inappropriate workplace behavior is overlooked because of politics and in my mind that looks very bad for leadership. I don't get why ppl from ck keep qualifying other people's perspective by saying they might not work at ck anymore. There's absolutely no upside to sharing here for personal gain at all. I'm sharing my very heartbreaking experience and it isn't doing my blood pressure any favors.
Oh, hi HR! —> @yolock
A lot of the orgs are great to work in, some are a hot mess. The business has growing pains but is pretty impressive.
Doesn’t seem like a place I’d want to work. Just look at the reviews on Glassdoor. #BroCulture, #Sexism, and #MeToo, and coverups oh my! https://www.glassdoor.com/Reviews/Employee-Review-Credit-Karma-RVW18507625.htm
Uhh someone from another tech company trying to shit talk. I wonder what’s the motivation? I think CK culture is better than most companies out there, but I can only speak of the Eng culture.
Give an example, or we'll stick to Glassdoor reviews.
