I own my home, fixed 30 year mortgage. The only two variable components in my home ownership (beyond repairs) are insurance and property taxes. I don't drive a gas car, so only electricity rates impact me which in Washington state requires a vote of the people to increase. Natural gas prices do fluctuate for heating. I basically eat Jasmine rice, Costco rotisserie chicken, Coke (which has increased in price), cream cheese, Rotis, Cheese slices and beans. Some Lentils. I only buy apparel from bulkapparel.com I have built my own home gym with all the stuff I need to lift weights and go on a treadmill. I build my own furniture from free wood I get from Facebook market place. I don't have kids, but they will go to public school like I did, and yes nanny and day care will impact me. I clip coupons for McDonalds, Burger King, Wendys and Subway. I use Microsoft Orca card to go to and from airport. I use prepaid Mint Mobile for mobile phone. I use my wife's name and my name alternating between every year to keep Comcast bill same. So my variable costs linked to inflation are: (1) Groceries (2) Car Insurance (2) Home Insurance (3) Property Tax (4) Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission (UTC) Nat Gas and Electric Rates That is why I'm very surprised why people are going crazy over inflation.
Facebook market place gives free wood? 🪵 🤔
It impacts me cuz I order a shitload of delivery food
Maybe don't order so much and cook at home instead? The natural response to higher price is to find equivalent cheaper goods ? You're not supposed to not change your lifestyle and expect everything to stay the same. The world market place is constantly shift, so adopting life style change should be expected
Same, my orders used to be $12 pre-pandemic. Currently around $17-20 for the same restaurants

Op drive electric 🚗, own 🏡, and childfree. Op don't understand why the millions who rent, drive oil 🚗, got kids experience inflation. Talk about living in a bubble.
>I basically eat rice and beans and don't go out much. Well there it is
I’m guilty of this too, but fix your diet bro. It will catch up. It’s amazing that you workout..that might offset a lot of crap you’re eating
In terms of inflation, you will feel it the moment you start eating consciously..like instead of antibiotics heavy chicken and eggs, if you start looking for free range chicken and eggs you will notice prices are sky high. If you eat any of the cow products like milk, and start going for the grass fed organic cow milk you’ll really feel the inflation. Same goes for pesticides free vegetables. This country has systematically reduced food quality in order to hide the real inflation in food price.
Just fyi all chicken in the United States is antibiotics free regardless of labeling. Same with hormones. It's federal law. The labeling is just that way to make you think other cheaper chicken has it. Go with air chilled and that should be good enough.
In my house Jasmine rice is for dogs. And what loser eats Costco chicken?
Your life sounds like a chore

So you’re surprised everyone is not unaffected by inflation like you are. Why are people like you so fucking dumb?
