When I worked there most of my team had no time and just barely found similar code for IAM or connecting to DDB and creating lambdas and S3 If lucky few did step functions. That's 90% of the stuff needed to do the work in super tight deadlines. I follow a couple of Amazon people on twitter SDE2 who think they know so much but can they actually apply it outside of Amazon? Edit : to clarify, do you know the concepts and whys or are you just chasing deadlines #engineering #Amazon
at the end, the important thing is you can deliver your work. Doesn't matter which way
You mean to say we should remember DDB connection code, as well as IAM attributes by heart? What's your yoe again?
Not those, but for example they would just copy paste this code so this lambda in account A can talk to this other service in account B but have no clue why. What's a policy, what is delegation, why do we need roles, heck don't even know we need what to make two accounts talk to each other
If that's the case your original poll is misleading
