Before open ai or Anthroic came along databricks was the choice. People chose us over FAANG, citadel, jane street. I feel so bad it is not the case anymore
When was databricks the first choice? I wasn’t aware
With due respect OP - Databricks is the overhyped product.
Lol, and OpenAI is not
It never was
Lol u r in ur living in a dream world. It never was even within top 5 for most
It was a decent company but never was no. 1
Don’t know anyone who wanted to go to Databricks as a first choice, it usually was just in the mix (at the lower end) of a person’s first look. Like 7/10
So, you're upset because you feel your value has been undermined. Stop this bs obsession with FAANG/MAANG company prestige and concentrate on your work. Focus on becoming more grounded.
AI companies are cool now, sorry databricks
Gotta find a replacement for DONDA now
Welcome to the club
Really? You just being salty or really think this? I can't think of any company better when taking WLB, pay and benefits into account.
I bet a plurality of SWEs still put Google at the top of their list. But I get paid a fair bit more than I would at Google, and my WLB/benefits are pretty good. Not sure how they compare one-to-one
