Evaluating offers to Discord (Senior) and Meta (E5) Discord: - Senior - 225k base - 450k RSUs - 337k TC - Product Engineering Meta: - E5 - 214k base - EOY bonus: ~ 32k for 247k cash total - 625k RSUs - ~403k TC - Ad Group (platform and product) Discord is a hot Pre-IPO, I'm a longtime user and bullish on the app. WLB appears better and no PIP culture. Fully remote. Possible path to promotion on the team I'll be working on. Was Staff in previous role and discussed pursuit of promotion with Hiring Manager. Meta is Meta. Each is the total with 4 year vest
So discord 450k split to 4 years with a quarter bearing each year but you get the next cycle of 450 again next year

Meta for money. Discord for fun
If you are optimizing money then meta. The salary **growth** potential at meta is non comparable w any other company out there (few exceptions like Netflix). The work at meta is a wildcard. You might be lucky and work on stuff you like or you might end up in a disfunctional team/org where your work will either be extremely boring (but stressful) or interesting but unappreciated (and stressful). Wlb is subjective. I don’t expect any company that pays half a million or more to be chill. But it really depends on whether you like your job or not.

Meta gives large refreshers every year to L5, so your comp will be more than $403k.
