Kinda curious to hear whether you think Pinterest is worth 30B or not. My understanding of why Pinterest is priced 30B is that their p/s ratio is similar to their competitors. Here is a simple multiple analysis. Pinterest valuation: 28B. Their revenue is 3B. Meta’s revenue is 134B, 45x. Valuation is 1.2T or a 40x. Snap valuation is 26B (0.9x), revenue is almost 5B (1.6x). Reddit is another similar company. 9B valuation (1/3), 1B revenue (1/3). The valuation/revenue (p/s ratio): Pinterest: 9, meta: 9, snap: 5, reddit: 9 So revenue wise it’s roughly similar compared to their competitors. In fact, snap is the only company who is undervalued according to this metric.
You should use forward PE tho
I think we can be worth more. We arent anywhere near our monetization potential
I agree with that. You guys have good conversion tracking models and higher than average conversions, but I am doubtful if you can scale and get more users on-board. I think there is a very specific target population who uses pinterest.
Can you refer me Pinterest? I really want to work on your product
🤣
is adobe worth 200billion ?
Adobe is a different company. The ones above all relies on ads to monetize their business. I don’t know if there is a competitor in Adobe’s space
Adobe make a real product that would be hard to reproduce. You can find many tutorials on how to build a Pinterest from the ground up
