It's a make or break moment for Google. Microsoft faced the same crisis of relevance in early 2010s, it eventually saved itself by building up its cloud business and changing CEO.
Not just Wall Street but investors in general. Pretty much all startups now are “backed by XYZ VC” who only care about 100x returns.

The whole industry is dead. Everything worth doing has already been done. The people who run the industry know this better than anyone. That's why they no longer value us. If there is a future, it will not grow from here, it will come from somewhere else.
