When you are self employed, you have to pay both the employee portion (capped) and the employer portion (uncapped).
Unless you are self employed there is no way you paid that much. Even if you changed jobs the overpayment is retuned to you when you file taxes

Itâs not the max ss tax is around 10k. You should find a new accountant
