Firstly , apart from Delta most airlines are shit. But which according to you is the worst ?
Alaska is pretty great imho!
United is the worst
Every time Iāve flown spirit Iāve felt like their planes are one flight away from a fiery crash.
Never again flying spirit. Flew them once from SEA-LAS. First issue was gate change at last min that required all of us to hustle to the other side of the airport. Ok not that big of a deal. Hereās where the issues began. They took us out on the buses to the airplane to board through the stairs thing. Again, not a huge deal. However, apparently there was a mixup with the deplaning process for the previous flight where a passenger needed a wheelchair to disembark, and there wasnāt a wheelchair pusher available. So this one person was stuck on the plane, preventing the incoming passengers from boarding. They kept us on the buses on the tarmac, but opened the doors, so we had to deal with the jet fuel fumes and loud engine noises for over half an hour. The buses were pretty packed too so many people were standing. They didnāt give us any info and just kept us penned up. When they finally let us on, many passengers were understandably upset and complained to the flight attendants. The flight attendants snarkly responded back that it wasnāt their fault and was actually the airportās fault for not having the wheelchair pusher available. The rest of the flight was uneventful but after that I swore off flying spirit. Iād rather pay a bit extra and fly Alaska or delta and know Iāll be treated like a decent human being.
Alaska and Southwest are really good. I've had a lot of fun crews while flying Southwest. Their customer service is top notch and Southwest let's you change flights for free (even without the pandemic). I've missed Southwest flights quite a few times only to be rebooked on the next one for no charge. Funniest was when the Southwest crew said we should keep our windows open during taxiing so their rivals could know what a full flight looked like.
Honestly been flying spirit a lot lately and kind of a fan. Flew round trip sfo to Chicago for 80 bucks. Flew sfo to Vegas for 35. Backpack only but more than fine for a weekend trip
Every airline is fine when your flight is non-eventful. You def donāt want to be dealing with spirit customer service
