How are things looking at Upstart? I'm thinking of applying to Sr Eng role but do you all think you'll be able to weather the storm? It seems like most employee complaints are around tech debt prioritization and monolithic architecture, sounds pretty normal for a company your age. How is it outside of that?
Wait for November earnings report

I’m in process of interviewing currently. Anyone have any pointers?
System design, coding round and project design in the final round. Basically like creating a web app from scratch
I believe in the process. Just got to get through the growing pains but potential upside of everything works out well. Really low 60 day average for stock if you join now. You could capitalize long run. More high impact work since you are at smaller company
What is the sentiment among employees in the ability of the company to weather out the storm? Is there an increase in ppl jumping ships this year?
If employees are jumping ship it’s bc their RSUs are shit from joining the company when our stock was above $100. So they are running to make up the lost TC. But for new employees their 60 day average will be around $20. I don’t believe they are leaving bc the company can’t weather the storm. Bank partners and auto lending partners have doubled in size from last year. We are still hiring. Companies who can’t weather the storm wouldn’t keep hiring
No one knows, we are dependent upon fed, once fed take down interest rates then there’s a chance but till then it’s a fight against time.
Can't imagine that will happen soon. Any idea what the runway looks like?
The AI model didn’t account for Fed?
