Hi everyone, Our family is relocating to Washington from SoCal. We will need to find good elementary schools for our children. We’ve used niche, great schools, and school digger to do some research. We don’t understand if assigned schools or school district is more important. Our realtor places more weight in school district, and says it’s easy to change schools. I wanted to get some more data from Blinders. How easy is it to change schools within a school district. TC: $330k (PM @ FB)
Yes, overindex on school district, and def consider whether the school w/in district meets your needs. The positive thing here, is that majority of districts are fabulous. Covid is tanking morale of students, teachers, administrators and parents alike, but in/around Seattle area proper and suburbs, you will find success.
That’s good to know. Thanks!
Schools are overcrowded here. It's really hard if not impossible to change a school even in the same school district
Thanks for the insight
That's not completely true. If your kid passes the gifted program test, you have the chance to change schools.
