Agree with that second to last paragraph “General sales, marketing and administration jobs” should not be receiving outsized above market comp given the relative value add and commoditization of these types of roles
I can assure you that the rich do not in the slightest sense care about your measly 300k/year
They don’t have to do a layoff, they can deliver headcount reduction with aggressive PIP, satisfy Wall St and still boast that they never layoff and hence still have prestige
