Planning on buying suv. Budget 45k. Which suv should I go after? I also went through some options which are cheaper like mazda cx-9, Honda crv, Toyota etc. Is it worth paying more for luxury cars?
What's your personal preference? I actually prefer driving something like a VW Golf over an entry level luxury car like Audi A4 just for the lightness and nimbleness, but some people value the more premium design language and refined ride of the latter.
Brace yourself. Tesla comments are coming.

Lexus RX 350 best luxury SUV to buy (reliable and holds value, looks pretty good and has all the luxury). To lease maybe get BMW.
+1 to Lexus. Sadly, cannot ever convince my wife of that big ass front grill 🤷
RX is great. Best value for money
Q5 looks best of those IMO.

Volvo cars are always upto the safety standards. So Volvo > Audi> lexus > Toyota . From safety, luxury and money POV
Audi - cpo is the way to go. I got a dealer loaner car and it’s been great so far. I forget exactly but it’s original warranty plus another year.
Audi by far. It is the most balanced car out there (right balance of sportiness, comfort and good build). Get an A4 (or S4) if you like sedans or a Q5 for a mid level SUV. The Quattro awd system is great and much better then Lexus or BMW. I used to have an A4 and loved it (Manual). Could easily go without chains in Tahoe during snow.
Curious, isn't the snow thing only impacted by kind of drive and tires?
Certified pre owned with 3 year warranty tends to be a great option, especially for the premium brands.
which ones have a 3 year warranty from date of purchase?? i thought for most of them you only get whatever is left in the original warranty?
CPO cars often come with their own warranty. If the car is still under the original warranty, you can also extend it at your own cost. I picked up a 2 year old Audi S7 with all the options and 20k miles for $40k a couple years ago. It wasn't CPO because it had an airbag deployed accident. I managed to find the accident record online and it was a fender bender. Repairs were done by the preferred Audi repair shop and it still had a couple years in the original warranty. Since repairs were done by the authorized shop, they're covered by warranty as well. I also extended it to 80k miles for something to Ike $1400 (which is basically the cost to replace a light bulb on an Audi). In any case, it was basically getting the car for less than half off. Luxury cars generally don't hold their value, making them great options for used, especially if you're buying them to drive rather than to have all the latest tech.
