Been scrolling through some fanfic sites during 2020, and found a surprising amount of crossover between "people who are into fanfic" and "people who code for fun or professionally". So interested in seeing how many of you on here are involved with fanfic in any way. Also, if you said yes - what's the best fic you've read in the last year? I personally really enjoyed Todeswind's "Endless Pantheon" series. It's a crossover between Dresden Files and Stargate, though you don't need to know anything about Stargate to read it. Here's the first one in the series: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/8005922/1/Endless-Pantheon-God-s-Eye Time to find out who the real nerds on Blind are hahaha #hobbies
You don’t need fan fiction when you have AI Dungeon
Gotta say I am consistently disappointed by AI dungeon
The secret is dont let it side track in the beginning, use pins/characters
For the people who don't know what fanfiction is - it's basically just fan-made stories using characters, settings, and/or concepts from existing media. People post them on sites like fanfiction.net, archiveofourown.org, wattpad, and some more niche sites for specific fandoms (communities who are fans of a specific work/piece of media). I've also recently discovered a site called spacebattles, which I've been really enjoying >.> And yes, a lot of these websites look like they came straight out of the 90s. At this point it's almost part of the charm lol
Someone should write a Game of Thrones fan fiction. The theme should be “what season 8 would be like if it was really well written”. Night King vs Jon Snow (and Jaime Lannister) epic sword battle. Arya kills Cersei. Really long dramatic scenes before any character dies so their death has weight.
I heard some rando named George R.R. Martin is working on this
no.
I wrote one a very long time ago - maybe 10 years ago - a Draco/Hermione short story. I used to read a LOT of HP fanfics
Larry fanfic only 🤩
Larry fanfic? Is that a Harry Potter shipping name or something?
Uh oh
