You'd think this is uncontroversial but everything's a justice/discrimination issue now
OP is triggered 😔
Yeah if you take up 2 seats, you probably need to pay for 2 seats... It's not a bad policy imo
If you’re 7 feet tall and your width is proportional to your height, then yes, I feel bad for you. If you’re 500 pounds because you eat too much, I don’t feel sorry for you.
I am closer to 7 foot than 6 foot, very proportional and also chubby and I don't even need a belt extender, free exit row seat would help me a lot more
She said she the problem started when she was 12. I do feel bad for her. Gotta be parents or genetics, definitely hard to control for a 12 year old.
You're probably paying 3x for the same experience while dining
🤣🤣
More like 5x
I don't care about race, gender, color, body composition, language, or anything else. The space I paid for between my left and right armrests is mine. Other peoples' freedom ends where mine begins.
Sounds like you travel first class or private jet. The space in front of your seat is sold twice: to you and the person in front of you to recline in.
If the person in front reclines, I recline as well. If the person behind me complains, I ask them to figure out if they want the seats up or down with the person in front of me.
OP, what is the issue here? Plus-size passengers seem to an opinion on this matter. CNN is airing that, like everyone else’s opinions. Are you saying you are the authority on this matter and no one else should be allowed to speak? (For what it’s worth, I don’t agree with the plus-size opinion either, but I have no issue with CNN or anyone else airing their grievances)
No one is debating anyone's right to speech, we're just saying that the framing here doesn't make sense. There's a difference. Not everything is worthy of coverage.
OP, What exactly about the framing you don't like? How else would you "frame" it? If you don't like the fact CNN is covering this in the first place, well, CNN can air whatever they think they want to air
What’s next, cry discrimination because they have to pay more for eating more food?
Nah, discrimination because they have chronic health issues that aren't their fault so they should get free health care.
Go be fat somewhere else
If this is true, they should send refund to smaller size people or kids because they use less space.
Smaller size people are still taking the full seat space. They just have more space to move around
Not if they sit next to someone who steals space from them.
If only there was something she could do
Right? Also, it's obvious that if you're stretching over the seat, you're getting in the way of other passengers. The rationale for these fees is obvious and perfectly sane
Like what?
