Have you read American Prometheus?
I read it several years ago and the thing that always stuck with me was how unethically and seemingly illegally the FBI was operating during the Hoover era and maybe afterwards as well. Anyway, looking forward to seeing Oppenheimer when it comes to home.
Iโve read it. Would be surprised to hear many other people on blind have also read it. Reallly great book. IMO, Oppenheimer was probably smartest man to ever live, maybe davinci was a smarter but definitely not when it came to mathematics.
Yeah. Loved the book. Interesting person for sure. Donโt think anyone else could have managed directing the project. I also learned a ton of US history around the periphery of the biography.
Yeah itโs a very fascinating project. The fact that Oppie could herd that many genius cats is the defining trait of the true giga-brain in my view. There was a great NYTimes piece on the writing of the bio recently, you should check it out if u havenโt
