I saw on the layoff tracker that Fivetran just had a 5% layoff. Is it true? Are engineers affected?
This was bound to happen . They hired crazily over last year and some of the most undeserving people made their way in . They had no idea about how to deliver. Just sitting and eating investors’ money .
Did they announce it internally? Or just a quiet layoff?
Well, given that they quietly started laying off people from March 2020, I am not surprised with that! In some 2020 company meetings, the management even ignored the potential layoff questions internally.
Yeah
Most definitely not "mass layoffs". You yourself state 5%, how is that mass layoffs
Sorry I just realized that too, changed the title
Do you know if it affected engineers?
No engineers were affected
Bad experience with interview process. Change in scope, change in role and finally canceled the interview. Now it makes sense.
When did you have your interview?
Next week
Mainly Sales, Marketing, and Recruiting
Makes sense because the recruiterI was working with went cold
