Lost move-in inspection check list. What do I do?
Moved to the current apartment in 2021. Planning on moving out in a couple of months. Now I can’t find the move-in inspection check list. (Not even sure if they even gave me the copy) I have photos of the apartment and small damages documented but what can I do to prevent the charges? Asking because my apartment is definitely gonna try to charge with every opportunity when moving out. Sounds like it’s their thing based on their Yelp review…help appreciated :( #housing #apartment
Ask them to provide the move in document. I doubt they legally have to but I also bet they might. If this is their thing, I bet they know to show the doc. Sadly for you they're going to find things that weren't documented.

Ask for in person move out inspection. Request a written summary so that you get the chance to address any issues. Ask for estimated deduction. Over document everything to send your landlord a message
