Apparently helping people lose weight using an app is not a scalable business.
“Scalable business” — I see what you did there
lol noom is such a rip off, they straight up lie about what you get for the membership
I keep almost trying the service but the app is so janky looking and I'm not sure what you'd even get from it.
I signed up for noom trial like a year ago, now they won’t stop emailing me. 2+ times a day every day “please come back, you’re gonna be fat for life if you don’t” and clicking the unsubscribe link doesn’t stop it
“clicking the unsubscribe link doesn’t stop it” that’s actually illegal. they can definitely be fined or sued for that.
The company needs to trim some fat
Well stated, Amazon!
This is their 4th layoff in the last year and this one cut almost 50% of the remaining staff. Insane.
Seriously? 50% today?
Yup
It was, I believe, 50% of the remaining coaching staff, and 30-35% of remaining HQ. Really bad day. It was the biggest shit show and that says a lot considering this is the third major layoff in this past year alone. The people that are still there know their jobs are going down the drain. They say they feel like the janitors cleaning up the last of the mess but their jobs will be gone by the end of this year as well.
So Noom won’t likely last?
Are the layoffs from over hiring or tanking of revenues/user growth ?
