Worked with meta folks. Layoff is the most humane thing. These folks are outright incompetent and totally unaware of it. Time for correction.
Thisāļø We had a guy come to us after doing 5 years at Meta. He is one of the most incompetent people I have ever met. His social, technical, and organizational, skills are downright horrible. Ofc, 1 case doesnāt represent the whole population. I have also met wickedly smart Meta mates, but that dude just opened my eyes.
So you offer one example supporting their point, then say thereās more than one counter examples, but somehow agree?
OMG This is like 1000th about meta
But I thought Meta doesn't layoff?
I mean, the company is full of coasters so really wouldn't mind. Problem is, I only started here 6 months ago.
I didnāt think so, but when you need to get rid of thousands of people to get the company on a decent financial footing, itās hard to present that many performance problems as the reason.
