More information: - 3 YOE - Current TC $100k - The Microsoft team is in Azure - Lockheed is fully remote Please comment if you have any ideas for further negotiations as well. These are initial offers.
How does Lockheed allow full remote? Wild times
Likely not working on classified networks or software
Microsoft is correct. Open programs do exist at defense contractors, but they're not nearly as plentiful as closed ones. It can be very cushy with decent WLB, but OP needs to be aware that it can also change in an instant. I was moved from an open program to a closed one overnight due to funding changes. Went from full-time remote one week to full-time in SCIF the next. Negotiated myself back into an open, remote program eventually. Also, RTX is pushing previously remote employees to hybrid (with full-time RTO probably soon to come), and I wouldn't be shocked if other defense dinosaurs do the same soon, so...caveat emptor.
You current TC is 100..? Any of this is a significant improvement. Go for the one that excites you the most so you’ll be happier vs miserable
Yes of course that is the point of interviewing for jobs. Any input on which you would choose and why? Or how I can best negotiate here?
Like I said above, I’d go for the one that excites me most. I am not you & therefore cannot t make that call for you. Only you would really know after interviewing. Id go with Lockheed.
Amazon will pay better. Interested?
Yes
Dm resume and email
Take docusign
Elaborate please if you can
Go with pay. Msft is trash. Been there
Don't take the MSFT offer. Negotiate for 100K or more stocks. Keep interviewing if you can afford to do so.
Why not accept as is? It’s clearly much higher than my current TC. And what about the others? They are also better. You wouldn’t take any of these offers versus what I currently have?
That's because you could land a 200 grand offer with little more effort and interviewing around. All the current offers could sound more tempting but once you join you would know that you've been low balled like hell and you will be very demotivated due to the feeling of being taken advantage of.
Docusign is a sinking ship. MSFT and LMT are much better companies thank Docusign in terms of job security, and growing your talent
Good to know. They made it sound like they were growing with their new AI and IAM direction.
I’ve heard nothing but bad things about Azure as an Org, so I would steer clear—if you do take Microsoft, be wary and make it a goal to transfer ASAP. DocuSign is okay, but Lockheed Martin is better since it’s fully remote. Defense isn’t the most lucrative industry, but it has its merits. Congratulations of the offers and best of luck! TC: 105K (100K base)
I don’t mind any issues with azure like wlb not being the best. I just want to make sure I’m properly compensated for the higher workload and stress. Thank you for your perspective!
Azure is too big to be generalized like that.
did you get the msft offer after virtual interview day last week?
Thats a laughable offer from a company the public sees as prestigious wow
Were you downlevel to l60?
I don’t know, maybe. What should I be? I was told this is the level.
L60 for 3 yoe is low but reasonable in this market.
