Is it too late to switch to better profile and company

My wife has 6 years of experience. Her salary in less than 6 lacs in Bangalore. She works in Accenture for last 4 years. Never switched in between because work life balance have been pretty good. Even i never bothered and given priority to WLB. I always try to avoid salary related discussions with her as she feels demotivated. Her profile is related to operations and network related HPE tools. Although we are happy with work life balance. However it hurts from career growth perspective. Does that profile has less salary in other companies? Is it too late to move to a different profile or better company? Any advice what should we do? #switch #accenturesalary

Thats how it usually is unless you already have an offer in hand which allows you to negotiate up! I was once upon a time in the same situation as you wife at infosys ~7.5 lpa @ 6 years exp, moved to oracle ( low penetration and barely any hike at 8 (fixed base)lpa) purely for changing the profile. Since it was consulting owing to onsites and 6 monthly bonuses take home was unexpectedly high at oracle although base wasn't that great. After 3 yrs switched to accenture as a contract 2 hire for 14 lpa . Got made permenant at 19 lpa in 3 months time and managed to grow tc to 27 lpa in the 3 years I stayed there( highest rating consistently- purely owing to hard work and a lot of luck ..they pay if they make revenue from what you do! Disproportionately to the rest of the crowd..so personally will never say accenture is a bad paymaster) that gave the base to eventually move to my current role @ 54 lpa. So yeah don't chase tc..chase good quality work and tc follows.
