Fragomen is trash -.-

Rant alert! Manager initiated my PERM filing earlier this year and ever since Fragomen is moving things forward at such a slow speed. I’ve been keeping in touch with the paralegal throughout, providing every information and document promptly but they still haven’t even filed my PERM application. It’s close to being an year now and they are no where close to being done. I know people who got their PERM filed and I140 approved within 6-8 month this year. Fragomen people are so inefficient that it’s disappointing. Anyone got their i140 approved this year?? If yes, how long was the whole processs for you? Any pointers on what I can further do to have them expediate my case?

Yes, they’re terrible. And I wish there was a way to submit internal feedback about how bad they are, although I’m not sure anyone at Amazon will care. My advice is be persistent and ask for updates regularly, but be very pleasant and polite. Things like “I’d like to know where we stand.”, “is there anything I can do to help move things?” and so on. Get your manager involved in a thread after a week or two without responses. They also suck at responding unfortunately but you can’t give up. I suffered with them for a long time. My PERM was delayed for a year because I was assigned to an incompetent attorney who pursued a failing strategy and dragged their feet doing it. We had to start over. The persistence in asking for updates helped but things only really improved after I was assigned to a new much better attorney. Finally, don’t hesitate to ask for a call. Getting on a call with them and asking for updates that way works better than email. And get your manager on that call. Good luck.

I have been regularly following up with them, the assigned paralegal is pretty quick with the response too but sadly that’s about it. They are taking way too much time with each step. In October they told me they would file it in November but that didn’t happen.

Mine is filed through Fragomen as well and they started the process in a week and everything went super quick. They were quick and responsive during my H1 as well. My colleagues had good experience with them too. I guess you are unlucky.

Lucky you!

I think it depends on the paralegal assigned to the case and how much is the company paying them. Never had an issue with them.

In that case I wish we had the option to choose our paralegals.

The “person” and not the “company”

If you are born in India, then filing / not filing, being careless/not careless doesnt matter anyway bcoz with the current rules we wont get a GC in this lifetime lol

I got I140 approval with the premium process. It took 3 weeks. Fragomen usually takes a lot of time for each step

Apple immigran1 OP Dec 11, 2019

I140 can be filed in premium processing and that’s fine but not PERM. They haven’t even filed PERM, I am not even thinking about i140

It took me 6 years to file PERM due to multiple layoffs and the delay from Fragomen after VP’s approval to proceed

I have experience with both Fragomen and BAL. BAL is worse than Fragomen - both are very bad though. Fragomen took 1yr to file my perm in the 1st company and BAL took 3.5 years to prepare for my perm in the 2nd company (but I quit before they actually filed).

WTF! 3.5 years is crazy!
