post swimming my skin is in 2 tones and I pretty much look like a zebra. I tried putting sunscreen before I hit the pool but it isnt helping a ton. pool is open and heated and has a whole bunch od chlorine. please suggest.
Use water-resistant sunscreen?
The spray I picked say it’s resistant upto 80 mins. Do you have anything specific in mind?
I see other posts saying to use water-resistant lotions but not another tidbit... Use more sunscreen. A lot of people simply aren’t using the recommended amount.
Go to an indoor pool
Then get one of these Chinese swimsuits including the face mask https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-FsORl2ZKOTA/Ua9aiGPH1nI/AAAAAAAApPo/bES5jIjvZMk/w1200-h630-p-k-no-nu/facekini-main.jpg
Get good water resistant sunscreen lotion - spray ones aren't as effective. Also there are some post sun exposure creams - look them up. And then enjoy your tan
Do you have recommendations?
Wholefoods and trader Joe's have some. Supergoop and Coala are supposed to be good. I use Elta MD sport. Key is to put the sunscreen 15-20 minutes before you get in
I wear a long-sleeved rash guard suit, like for surfing.
Are you talking body or face? Could be due to sun sensitivity in different parts of body. You can always apply self tanning lotion to your pale parts

Shower and lotion after.
I always shower and use a lot of lotion. Ineffective:(
I’d consult a dermatologist if that doesn’t work. Maybe try a rash guard?
