Does anyone know Chronicle security’s interview process? Chronicle was born from X, the moonshot factory and google.
Any update?
Nope, it is definitely not like google. I recently gave interview with them for a platform they are looking for. Weird thing is that people who are in that interview panel did not have an idea about technical side of the platform to question. When I asked for interview result they came back and said I did not get it. Asked for feedback, they said they don’t provide one. But it’s little confusing when people who are interviewing does not have any knowledge of the platform how would they even decide if a person is a good fit or not. But again it does not matter I make more than what they could offer. Got to know that their sister companies offerings are low not like GOOGLE. Other than Waymo no other google sister company is doing that great/ no profits or revenue. But again you only give interview because you will be part of GOOGLE. I still wish them All the very best as it is a very difficult market to compete as lot of companies are already very well established in security. You are just late in the market. Hope your products does some wonders.
If someone from Chronicle is reading this post. If you want to attract good talent Please make sure to have clear job requirements. The role should justify job requirements and also add technical people who actually worked on the platform in the interview panel. If not you will hire some worthless people who don’t add any value to your company. You will end up hiring “Jack of all trades, master of none”.
What role did you apply for? I work there now
Your logic is confusing. Google and by extension Chronicle hires engineers who move across the stack not specialists. Based on that I see why you didn’t get the job. All big tech companies and I assume Cheonicle interview on technical acumen not specific projects.
Ok if that is true then I was approached by one of high level chronicle employee to talk about the speciality job position on my LinkedIn account. My LinkedIn clearly tells that I have a speciality in one tool. Why would you approach people and waste peoples times when you are looking for engineer in general ? Sorry but I personally have nothing against this company but absolutely disappointed with their chronicles interview process and interview team. Absolute clueless people.
Interview panel had at least 2-3 ppl who were from my current company.I did some research about them. Got to know few of them were fired or let go from my current company because of low performance. Bummer Chronicle hasn’t hired really great talent.
From Palo Alto?
I am sure it is Google like.
