Should I start my career @intel or @AMAT? Will Intel be here in the next 5 years?
As the title says. I’ve only two offers right now. I love Intel but I’m afraid of the current trend.
Think about what jazzes you and what you want to do in 5-10 years. Think about an incremental path of learning and opportunities needed to be completed to make you qualified for this position. Decide which company provides the best opportunities to meet your goals. Be prepared to change your course and plans as environments change. Key thing: these are just jobs to get you to what you want. There is no such thing as a career-especially at Intel. Always do what is best for you and don’t let Intel or any other company take advantage of your good will.

Current Trend just gonna get worst.
Go where you think the work is more interesting. Guessing that your Intel role is a fab job given that you are choosing between Intel and AMAT, I personally think that AMAT would be more interesting because I would rather be designing a product rather than using that product.
Intel is still going to be here in the next 5-10 years lol. Beyond that…uncertain 😂
What matters to your career is whether you get past the resume screen for the next employer. You should leave at about 2 yoe and Intel will still exist then.
