Interviewing at The Zebra in Austin TX. Looks like they have been through a couple of re-orgs and layoff rounds. Not sure if anyone has a pulse check on what it is like there and general business outlook
Run. If you don’t mind things shifting every 6 months, being scared of your job security, and have shit comp go ahead and join.
It’s a dumpster fire. Whole marketing org was slashed from 25 to 6, with firings, layoffs and about 6 people quitting under the new CMO who can’t get a handle on anything after almost a year. Engineering is slow and clunky built on outdated, disorganized systems. CEO is rough as a “leader.” He has cronies and friend in high places including his house interior designer as the top of culture.
Holy shit I never knew that that was his interior designer 🤣🤣 the presentation that was done when they brought her in was one of the most awkward I had seen
Heard they’re good. I applied on their website, heard back 2 months later saying that I wasn’t a fit. lol
