Activision Culture/Pay
Curious to know how the culture is at Activision? Has it gotten any better and is the pay still not that great? I was outreached by a recruiter for a marketing role, but looking on Glassdoor it looks lower than what I’ve seen in the market. Any insight would be helpful! #marketing #activisionblizzard
Which studio? Blizzard pays less but has a better culture than, say, Amazon. Though I wouldn’t recommend it right now for other reasons.
Does the pay differ between the subsidiary studios like Treyarch, IW, and core Blizzard? Also, do you happen to know how good Treyarch is as a company for engineers? I’m contemplating between Treyarch and Microsoft for an intern position and it’s pretty hard to choose (unique experience of working on games and see if I like it VS going with a good brand name)
@donaldbump You can’t go wrong with either internship. I’d recommend giving treyarch internship a try :). It’s pretty hard to get into the games industry so this is your chance to give it a 3 month trial period to determine if it’s worth it to you or not. The salary won’t be equivalent to MS. If all you care about is money then just go with MS though.
