Dilemma on Job Offer

Asking for my sister My sister is in the US on a work visa. She was recently laid off and interviewed for a couple of roles and secured 2 offers: 1. Offer 1: With US Bank. It's remote, it's her desired position but pay is 20% less than Offer 2. 2. Offer 2: With Fidelity. It's onsite. She will have to relocate. It's a decent position but not her desired position but pay is 20% greater than Offer 1. Edit: Update 3. Offer 3: With Fiserv. It's onsite in Georgia. She will have to relocate. It's a good position but not her desired position and pay matches Offer 2. She is inclined towards East Coast as she currently lives near Washington DC. Questions: 1. Fidelity is a big company and seems more stable (with less chances of being laid off) compared to US Bank. Maybe I am misinformed, but please shed light on this matter. 2. How is US Bank to work with? 3. Have there been recent layoffs with US Bank? 4. Any current or ex employees of US Bank can shed pros and cons of US Bank. 5. How is Fiserv to work with? 6. Have there been recent layoffs with Fiserv? 7. Any current or ex employees of Fiserv that can shed pros or cons of Fiserv. Pros of Offer 1: Remote, Desired position Cons of Offer 1: Less Pay, US Bank is still in Agile transformation and does not have set processes. Pros of Offer 2: Best pay and a good position (Not the best position but a good position), good tech stack to learn from Cons of Offer 2: Onsite in NC, not her desired position. Pros of Offer 3: Very Good Pay, great systematic processes , great tech stack to learn from. Cons of Offer 3: Moving to Georgia, Day 1 Onsite.

Where does your sister live now, and where would she have to move for the extra 20%?

She is located in Maryland and will have to relocate to North Carolina if she accepts for Fidelity.

Fidelity is not immune to layoffs. It laid off over 20% of it field staff in 2022 and then went on a hiring spree this year. This means your sister could end up being laid off if Fidelity has over hired again.. She should take the US Bank position based upon your comments.

Let her take the US Bank offer and move to Las Vegas. The airport is the best in the country (talking about connections to other cities) and she can travel to her heart's content. The COL is also decent.

Thank you for the comments. Can anybody shed light on the work culture at US Bank?

NC is a really good state to be in. Great school/colleges. Outdoors are awesome. Proximity to DC/NYC/FL etc. Weather is pretty much all 4 seasons.

I have updated the post with a 3rd offer and added questions 5,6 and 7. Thoughts ???
