Tend to stress eat. Need advice for how to not stress eat and still maintain very long periods of focus. Think like 996 for the next 6 months. I drink a lot of coffee already. If I replace with healthy food I just overeat that. I want to get into better shape but my schedule is very hectic and when I work out I tend not to do work afterward. Have a pretty solid attention span - can usually work for 5-9 hours at a time but getting into that state is very difficult and tend to stress eat crap the entire time and binge Red Bull Any advice / anyone struggle with similar
You eat because you are either hungry, thirsty, bored, or stressed out. Before taking a bite get used to having a full glass of water and alternate with a large cup of tea (no sugar, just tea). It will easen your craving. Also, remove availability of bad stuff: stop stocking junk food at home or make a strict daily meal budget if you eat out and stick to it. Then go for an intermittent fasting regime. 8h eating, 16h fasting. That will reset your body. Then add a simple weight lifting routine while you fast (eg just 20 mins of biceps curls every other day or 100 -4x25- push-ups a day). YouTube is full of reps/sets recipes. And you don't even need to dress up for it. That will put your body in alert mode and help you gain muscle while you lose fat through fasting.
Keto plus intermittent fasting. Lost 50 lbs in two months and I didnโt do it for the weight loss, but to save time spent eating, and for the mental focus. Has been super productive
I don't mean it judgementally at all, but I think you pretty clearly have an addiction to caffeine and some bad habits that surround your addiction. Caffeine not only helps with energy, but focus and the way in which you experience whatever you do under its influence. This is not usually a problem if you have healthy habits, but when you don't, they are reinforced by consuming caffeine. If getting into a state where you work 5-9 hours straight is so effortful consider breaking work into chunks if possible. Maybe you're not wired to work that way and you're just forcing yourself. Regarding food, I'd start by making sure you buy plenty of healthy foods to have around for when you want to snack. If eat out a lot, try learning to make a couple of easy healthy meals. Eating out is so convenient and delicious, but frequently incredibly unhealthy. Final thought on caffeine.. If you're consuming so much I bet your sleep is quite disturbed. You need about 12 hours for half the caffeine to pass through and no longer affect your sleep. If you're drinking Red Bull in the afternoons and evenings it's definitely going to fuck with you. Anyway good luck to you, that's a shitty cycle to be stuck in
Thanks for the advice. Yes my sleep is def fucked ๐
You can definitely make big strides with a few small adjustments. If you wanna really dive in, check out the Huberman Lab podcast on caffeine and how to use optimally. https://spotify.link/2O7eY070fyb
Exercise first thing every morning. Make it a nonnegotiable (I do this). Regarding stress eating, what about chewing gum. Chewing gum pairs well with grinding ๐
Yeah trying to get into habit. Team keeps having 8:30 meetings itโs obnoxious
I was in a similar place. Go running. Start small if you've not run in a while. Be regular. Should boost your overall mood and kill your urge to binge eat. Running produces endorphins which lower stress levels.
Adhd medicine is the only way you're gonna do this without burning out or getting fat.
Tried to get some already ๐

How to get over porn addiction?
Sounds very unhealthy. Your body will eventually crash. I replaced energy drinks wirh green tea. I eat apples.
It is very unhealthy. Hence this post
I wrecked my body this way in my 20-30s. Try green tea. The Art of Tea, has the best. You can try something else and itโs likely to give you a slower release of caffeine. It will also suppress your appetite. I also used to snack in 80% black chocolate. It also suppressed appetite because it has fat. I would not eat a lot so it was sort of like fasting. Youโll need to drink a lot of water too. Because caffeine will dehydrate you. I also try sometimes the tiny oranges called cuties. They give you some sugar but not too much. I also use some fidgets with my hands to avoid feeling anxious.
