Has anyone here left fiat Chrysler or now stellantis within 2 years after their i-140 was approved? I am trying to understand how much you had to reimburse the company for immigration associated costs.
Is there something in your offer letter saying you need to pay back?
Not on the offer letter, but when they started the perm process, they made me sign a document which stated i had to pay back if i chose to leave within 2 years after I140 approval
With the amount of re org and layoffs and forced retirements if u tell them ur not interested they might add you to their push out list
I have my i140 approved as of December 2021, but i also have an offer from another company that i am considering… but if stla revokes my petition than it doesn’t help
After 6 months or a year they can't pull petition or even if they do, it doesn't affect u right? Obama made some change. Don't leave before that period. Also how much is the amount for Payback? Can't imagine being a lot.
Are you sure that it is after i140 approval? As they never pay for I 140 premium and that itself took years to get approved. It should be two years from the date signed
It was 2 years after signed the document. But 6 months after uscis i140 approval notice
Why would any company ask you to reimburse the cost for immigration? I have never heard of this at any OEM.
Well stellantis does have it! Kinda worried they might revoke the PERM petition too
