Many times in the evening I’m left with a lot of stress. I disconnect from social media, minimize my phone usage, listen to music, go for a walk/exercise. I want to relax but I think my mind doesn’t let me. Any techniques that can help to induce peace?

Meditate for 1/2 hr
I tried Meditation and can’t say it doesn’t help but over a few days it doesn’t help as much as on day 1 and 2. I think it’s the fear of the future, the unknown that drives my anxiety.
Are you able to switch off your mind when you meditate? Meditation with deep breaths of “Om” can help in that process. There is breathing technique associated with saying Om , follow it rigorously and I am sure you will feel lot more relaxed If you are still thinking about something else while meditating then you won’t see the impact

Not good. Thinking about work constantly, responsibilities, deadlines, difficult to switch and tired.

Find a hobby you love and try to hang out with friends or people of similar interests. Other option is to volunteer in anything you like. Best remedy for true relaxation and complete distraction from any other thoughts.
