Do you think hardcore techies deeply lack financial acumen, especially around managing personal finances and investing ?
There's a lot of stock picking and mood swings (bull market = stocks can only go up, RSUs great; downturn = cash is king, RSUs worthless), but I'm not sure if it's any worse or better than your average population sample. An average population sample doesnt even have enough free floating money to think about that.
I would agree, Techies are not better than average population in terms of managing personal finance. They would think about money and investing same way as an average person and not like a professional
On the flip side u need to be financially educated if you're a multimillionaire, otherwise it's better to risk a bit which is easier if you're not very smart ๐ค๐ what I'm saying is it all kinda works out better at the
