Mastercard job offer accepted

I recently accepted a role at Mastercard as a SRE. Within the offer letter, I noticed it mentioned there is a 6 month “observation period”. My ask is, what is the level of difficulty programming for Mastercard? I have some experience in bash and python scripting which is what the hiring manger was looking for. I told him during the interview on the scale of 1 - 5 (5 being best), I am a 3 for bash and 2.5 for python but willing to learn and take on new challenges. I would like some input as a way to better prepare myself as I am a bit worried of this “observation period” and unknown the difficulty of an SRE and expectation to ramp up in 6 months. Edit: TC 98K I am coming from a 2 year background as cloud support with Windows background

Don't worry about it. A lot of companies do this. If you aren't lazy, you won't have any problems.

Do not worry about it. Its just standard offer language. This is whats called a probationary period. Just don’t screw up royally and you will be fine.

Don't worry, they will fire you only if you literally can't code or move things. Scrutiny is not even remotely close to what one goes thru at Amazon.
