Any recommendations on how to effectively manage some liquid cash via betterment. What does it really do well, what's lacking?
4 to 5 percent yield
20% yield with index fund. Invested myself.
Betterment is just index funds with higher fees.
The fees for the underlying index funds in Betterment are the same no matter where you own them. But yes, on top of those fees, Betterment charges a flat fee of 0.25%. For that reasonable fee you get a lot IMO: automated rebalancing, automated daily tax loss harvesting, smart dividend reinvestment, tax optimized withdrawals, partial shares, awesome website/app, etc.
