Anyone working remote with Siemens? I am and I have been told I may not be able to continue. I live over an hour away and am now being told I may have to drive into an office. I actually work better and more efficiently at home. Get way more done in less time. I am frustrated and want to see if anyone else has any issues with remite working with Siemens. If they decide I have to Drive in to an office I will not give them 2+ hours free a day driving. That WILL be considered time worked.
I have worked from home for a bit now. I informed them I was moving, but since they needed to keep me for project reasons they immediately offered remote. But I do know that I'm the only person in the entire office, and it is a special case.
I was offered remote when the office was no longer able to place people in desks because they had no desks. Then I was transferred in company. Working from home office. Hourly. NOW they decide that NO hourly peeps CNA work from home?! I can’t even believe it. And during this period I moved farther away from office. It’s ridiculous
First I guess it’s what division you work for and your job description is my office still wants me to come in a few days a week, but the rest I work remote - my division is moving that way as office space is being reduced and remote becomes more accepted
Just came across the post. Guessing at the start of 2020 you were able to continue to work remote?
Yes, unless you are in field service they don’t like people working from home.
I am in a bad situation I guess. Pretty annoyed to be honest. Why give me the ability to work from home and then decide that it’s not ok? Why would I have continued to work with/for them if this was an issue up front?
Just try and work out a deal with your manager to try and work from home more often. Just plead your case. I know lots of full time people who work in the office. They are allowed to work from home like every Thursday and Friday etc.
