Those who stayed at Twitter are the ones on h1b visas. but not all on h1b survived all the firings. now those without have dwindling severences and post traumatic stress disorder. They can and must be helped going thru the interview process at other companies. Hiring managers, favor these lost h1b souls and hire them back asap. Instead of leetcode hards, throw them an easy or medium and don't document it in the paperwork. Those that got separated got loud applause on LinkedIn but in the long term are not given the humanitarian support to which they are deserving . I'm not even on an h1b visa. i have my gc but i support these struggling h1b ex tweeps TC 330 k
Do you know for sure or just assuming?
it is widely known that those who remain at twitter are doing so because their visa is being held by new twitter management
I mean it makes sense if you are on a visa to get another offer before jumping ship. But do we know the % of people on visa staying or we’re just blanket assuming it’s close to 100%?
I'm on h1b myself. But this post is bullshit. Employers shouldn't favor a candidate over immigration status. People like you are why immigrants get a bad opinion. Please take down this post.
Meta isn't hiring anyways so the post wasn't really geared towards you
How is your response relevant?
This is such a negative dumb post take it down there’s no favoritism going on you sound extremely jealous and spiteful focus on your self and do some soul searching instead of being a hater
I'm on H1B and I find this post offensive. Employment should be based on merit, and not on sympathy-giveaways. So far visa workers have always been hired on merit, and we should maintain that.
So now I should take down this post because h1b find it offensive ?
You don’t have to take this down but you should realize what you’re trying to promote is corruption, discrimination and cheating which I believe happens a lot in your home country. Don’t bring that culture to professionals where most are highly educated and intelligent. That creates a cartel and I am sick of the folks who hire and promote others from the same country mostly. They are screwing up the industry.
Lots of LinkedIn posts from former tweeps on H1B
