I was working with JPM until Sep. And I had applied for a role at RBC. But then, these things happened: 1. Joined Amazon in Oct. 2. Received call from RBC in mid Oct. I didn’t mention anything about Amazon because I wasn’t sure if I will even clear the interview. 3. End October, learnt I’ve been moved to final round at rbc. 4. Amazon announced layoffs. I have not been told but I started looking out. 5. Had final round interview last week with RBC. Didn’t talk about Amazon. 6. Today, RBC came up with offer. I’m a bit worried about background check. Will RBC share my resume with Sterling (background check company)? That will not match with my current employment because my resume is old with RBC. Is that how it works? Second, let’s say Sterling clears my background from the info I provide to them, will they submit detailed report to RBC about where I’m working now? These things are worrying me. I’m a bit hesitant to tell HM now because they might perceive as I hid the info on purpose. What shall I do? 🥹
^ this. Didnt tell my recruiter at netflix i was laid off from Lyft 3 months ago when i was interviewing. But i was honest in the background check. Sterling just shows pass to hr department. Dont worry
Why you interviewing if you haven't been laid off from Amazon?
Freeze The Work Number and don’t worry about it again. https://employees.theworknumber.com/employee-data-freeze

This happened to me a while. I just told them in the end process that by mistake that resume I used was old and gave right information to sterling
Resume is not binding, what information you provide to Sterling is
I would be providing the accurate info to sterling. I am just worried if RBC will get a report from them and see that JPM is not my current employer?
Background check companies will confirm your current employment if you show on your resume that you are currently employed with company X, however employers don't care about the details of a background check as long as it Clears so do what you gotta do to pass the background check
But the resume that RBC has shows that my current employer is JPM because that resume is 3 months old when I applied for the role. What do I need to do to pass the background check?
