Edit: Clarified and I misunderstood the equity portion. TC is closer to low 200s The recruiter I am working with at Squarespace gave me a range for an L4 which would be around 300k TC (165+135rsus) (high COL). Is this accurate? I am seeing the numbers on levels.fyi being much lower (a little bit above 200k) even in the NYC area. It is a little concerning to me that there would be such a big difference. TC: 0 Laid off #squarespace #swe #software #engineering
Fwiw I was hired as an L4 at SQSP in NJ last year at TC at a little lower than that (closer to 280 TC)
What is your TC? I'm L4 and get pay that every other L4 gets (185kish +40kish/year stock). Are you including sign on or your entire aware in this?
I’ve heard of another L4 new hire getting base closer to around 210, so I think they’ve increased in the last few months
What is the base vs equity split? Historically our base and equity has been low (as reflected on levels.fyi). Since going public our equity packages have improved significantly, however base is still middling.
Updated with the split. Keep in mind this isn't an offer. Just the range from initial calls.
Is the $135,000 in RSUs per year (so a total of $540,000 in the new hire grant)?
That is a little weird but they recently got rid of "pay equity" which was pretty flat TC across all levels. I think you should ask the recruiter for specific numbers
yeah, they fattened the bands recently and there’s no more internal pay equity anymore. old timers are going to be left behind in the dust while the new hires get market rate
I wonder if they'll do any internal pay i creases
