If you are bored with nothing to do and feeling stuck in your career as a SWE, use the time to study abstract algebra, analysis, and probability theory. It will change your life for the better.
Linear Algebra
That's good too. Kids should study these subjects during high school rather than wait until college.
Discrete Math and Linear Algebra should be prioritised over Lameculus
Isn’t this all learned in undergrad
The Absolute Differential Calculus by Levi-Civita is a really good one.
How about touching grass?
Any highly recommended books or other sources (videos?)?

Yes, but focus on ideas. Do not study like if you’re a student who needs to pass exams.
Study math or go pick up girls… 🤔
Why not practice Leetcode instead?
Agree. Dunno if it will have practical effects, but it kind of feels good to understand a theorem. Makes you feel like, you haven't lost the ability to go deep.
No it won’t. Literally useless except for like 0.5% of SWEs
Literally will help you get started in ML these days (see lots of people asking how they get started in ML). "LIterally useless" smh.
Learning ML now is useless though, so it won't help in the long run. The real money is in doing something generic enough that you can ride every single tech wave, otherwise you just have to hope you timed your specialization correctly with when trends rise and fall.
