Yoe :- 3 Tc :- 18Lpa Have been in industry for last 3 years as ASIC design engineer but seen that mostly enhancements being done in current IP products plus some checks like CDC/RDC etc Want to work on pure Design like writing RTL from scratch and for this , gave few interviews at Intel , Nvidia etc but it feels from discussion like everywhere mostly enhancements, Integration or RTL generation from automations is happening Correct if my view is wrong or is this harsh truth in Big firms? Also please guide as still early in carrier and want to work on pure Design(Digital logic) #hardware #interview #semiconductor #amd #Nxp
I have been writing rtl from scratch for 15 years now. It's not dead. You have to find it. There'll be phases where you need to deal with maintenence, keep looking at ways to improve even then. I had to work on an ethernet IP that's about 25 years old. I modified 70% of it to make it efficient, built a TB from scratch to verify and learnt a lot from it.
I can refer you to AMD, you can DM me.
If you want to apply for Rivos, let me know. We can talk.
Currently located in India ๐ Not sure if Rivos Offer relocation
We have an office in Bangalore, but don't know if we are hiring folks for RTL design

TI has teams that work on designs from scratch for almost every project.. But be prepared to be burntout for peanut TC
Isn't that digital logic for analog? Like filters and all. But, good learning opportunity
Yeah.. It's mixed signal.. Complexity will be less compared to pure digital designs. The interface also will be slower like UART, spi, i2c etc. But good learning opportunity and will develop solid end to end understanding of designs
