Why so high service fees at offerup?

Tried to sell my 1st item on offerup. They are charging me 11% of sale price as service charges. My item of 100$ (which i already reduced so much in price) will give me just 90$ No way i m using offerup ever now. What other place can i sell besides craigslist? Tc 380k

Every other service charges 12-14% (mercari, eBay) if they buy online. I would suggest you to use local pickup on offer up. From 2022 if you sell for more than 600 then you need to submit w4 and youโ€™ll get w2 at the end of year and you need to pay taxes. I generally use Facebook marketplace or offerup and put local pickup only

Imagine making 380k and wasting time worrying about a $10 fee
