Hi tech friends, we are completely new to resort vacations is booking.com good enough?

We usually do Airbnb but our destination is Mexico and I hear that’s not recommended. TIA. TC 300

I had amazing experience with Airbnb in Mexico, super cheap and super nice apartments.

Counter point, I know at least 3 people including a Mexican citizen who had their Airbnb broken into and their valuables/documents stolen. May not be your host, but your host’s friends have friends.

I also had a bad experience with Airbnb. Kept getting phone calls from Airbnb support telling me I had to leave the property immediately for security reasons… I wouldn’t leave until they told me why, and they finally relented and said it was because hidden cameras had been reported by the previous guest. Airbnb did offer me up to $500/night to find a hotel for the rest of my trip though, so I take my hat off to them there. Managed to get an amazing suite at a luxury hotel, it actually made the trip better 😂
