To non-engs (but at high tech industry) , what is your current NW and age?
Why buy a car with the absolute worst build quality? Even Tata has better build quality.
I have a GLE and whenever I visit a gas station, I crave for a Tesla. Yeaterday I filled the tank for $127 and it only lasts a week.
It’s an awesome car. I don’t give a shit about status symbols. But it’s a very good car
Poor quality used to be a problem but that was while they were ramping up production. Most of it is solved now. Reliability is still better than most ICE cars on the road. The problems are usually water-filled tail lights, paint problems, panel gap consistency, rattling/creaking sounds, etc. The biggest downside/complaint was the wait for maintenance but that is also being solved at the moment.
Had a brand new car for a few days, literally breaking apart. The center console would move a full 2 inches lol
I’m going to go off on a tirade but I would rather have my car built by someone in China than a European or a North American. They just have better attention to detail or something.
Can you justify why you think Tesla has the worst build quality?
Source: been in a few of them and drove them for a few days
But that is anecdotal evidence, right? Not denying that you've had a bad experience, but that might not generalize.
Because Musk is God
He Can’t even scrape together a 40B leveraged buyout 🤦♂️
He can't because he doesn't want to.
Comparing Tesla with Tata? Are you Indian? Does US even have Tata cars?
Yeah teslas are that bad
Tatas are good here in India. They have very strong build quality. If you must, compare Tesla with Maruti then. Oneof my friend rammed his Bullet bike into a Swift and completely obliterated the Swift with almost no damage to bullet.
To be a part of the green revolution
Teslas are not green though. That’s just marketing
You can paint it green if you want
Two things. One, the yearly software updates which make it "feel" like a new car every year. Two, cost of ownership, I used to drive an Audi and had to pay 1000$ yearly for servicing etc. In comparison with Tesla, have had to pay almost nothing.
To take pictures with it and put it on social media 😜 Just kidding 😂 It's a status symbol mate 😬
In what world? It ranges from 45K to 125K. How’s is that a status signifier ?
It's not about owning the car but being associated with a brand
